Getting started

Practical first steps for choosing the right website route.

What types of websites does Helios Web Design create?

Helios Web Design creates professional WordPress websites for small businesses, including new business websites, focused fast-track builds, pay-monthly websites, redesigns and ecommerce websites. Helios also provides SEO services and ongoing WordPress maintenance. The WordPress website services page provides an overview of the available routes.

Who does Helios Web Design work with?

Helios Web Design works with small businesses, sole traders, startups, local organisations, charities and community organisations. The best route depends on the organisation, the website requirements and the level of ongoing support needed.

Does Helios only work with businesses in Hinckley and Nuneaton?

No. Helios Web Design is based in Atherstone and supports businesses across Hinckley, Nuneaton, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Coventry, Birmingham and the wider Midlands. The website also states that Helios works with clients further afield.

How do I request a website quotation?

Use the website enquiry form, call 07811 012513 or email enquiries@helioswebdesign.co.uk. The contact page asks for the essentials about your business, current website and what you would like to improve; you do not need to prepare a technical brief.

02

Website costs and payment

Verified prices and conditions from the current pricing and package pages.

How much does a WordPress website cost?

Helios Web Design currently lists managed PAYG websites from £40p/m, one-off brochure websites from £695, and a defined Website in a Week package at £1,000. The final cost depends on the agreed scope, pages, content, integrations and functionality. Compare the current options on the website pricing page.

What are the PAYG website terms?

A new Helios PAYG website requires a £99 initial deposit, then starts from £40p/m with an 18-month minimum term. The full service wording and conditions are set out on the PAYG WordPress website page.

What is included with a PAYG website?

The PAYG plan includes the WordPress website, managed hosting, maintenance, technical updates, security measures, backups, SEO foundations and ongoing support. Reasonable text and image updates are covered under the support fair-usage terms. Larger development work can be discussed and quoted separately.

Can I pay for a website as a one-off project?

Yes. Helios lists one-off brochure websites from £695. The one-off route includes WordPress design and development, responsive page layouts, a search-friendly structure, content-management access and launch support. The precise scope and any ongoing support are agreed before the project starts.

What does the Website in a Week package cost?

The Website in a Week package costs £1,000 and a 50% deposit secures the agreed build week. It covers up to 20 core pages, preparation and SEO research, responsive WordPress development, a contact form and agreed essential functionality, launch guidance and 12 months of post-launch technical support. Review the full fast-track package before booking.

03

Design and development process

How projects are planned, reviewed and developed.

How long does it take to design and build a website?

The timetable depends on the chosen service and agreed scope. Helios offers a defined one-week package when content is ready, feedback can be given promptly and the requirements stay within its 20-page scope. More complex websites require a conventional project timetable, which is agreed for the individual project.

Can I see the website while it is being developed?

Yes for the Website in a Week service: the website is built on a staging address and reviewed during the agreed build week. The PAYG process also includes client review and agreed amendments before launch. The review arrangements for other projects are confirmed as part of their scope.

Can Helios redesign my existing website?

Yes. Helios can review an existing WordPress website and quote for a redesign, repair or focused improvements. The WordPress redesign service covers responsive design, content management, performance and search considerations.

Will my website work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Responsive layouts are included across the current PAYG, one-off, fast-track and ecommerce service descriptions. The design is intended to adapt across desktop, tablet and mobile screens.

04

WordPress and website management

Straightforward answers about the platform, editing and ownership.

Why does Helios Web Design use WordPress?

Helios uses WordPress because it is a widely supported content-management system that gives businesses room to grow. The local website also confirms that Helios uses the Impreza theme framework and WPBakery page builder to create reusable, responsive layouts and practical content-editing workflows.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

Yes for the current one-off and Website in a Week options: content-management access or editing guidance is included. PAYG clients can also ask Helios to make reasonable text and image updates under the support fair-usage terms. The appropriate editing and support arrangement is confirmed for the selected package.

Will I own my WordPress website?

Ownership depends on the package. The Website in a Week page states that the finished website belongs to the client, subject to separately licensed third-party software. Under the PAYG service, the website remains the property of Helios Web Design during the 18-month minimum term and ownership transfers afterwards, subject to the published terms.

What happens to premium theme and plugin licences?

Third-party theme and plugin licences are not transferable under the PAYG terms. The Website in a Week package also treats paid specialist plugin licences as separate from the £1,000 package. Any required licensed software should therefore be confirmed before work starts.

05

Content and images

What needs to be prepared and where separate help may be required.

Who supplies the website content and images?

For Website in a Week, the client supplies approved text, images and branding before the build begins. Other projects include content and design planning, with the exact content responsibilities agreed for that project.

Can Helios help if my content is not ready?

Content support can be discussed as a separate service for a Website in a Week project, or the build can be booked for a later date. Copywriting from scratch is specifically excluded from the fixed £1,000 package, so any extra content work must be agreed and quoted separately.

Can pages and features be added later?

Yes, subject to scope and a separate quotation where required. The PAYG page states that further pages and functionality can be discussed as an organisation develops. The pricing page also makes clear that ecommerce, specialist integrations and substantial content work are not automatically included in every package.

06

SEO and Google

What SEO foundations cover and what they cannot promise.

Is SEO included with a new website?

SEO foundations are included in the current PAYG and Website in a Week descriptions. Depending on the package, this can include logical headings, page titles, meta descriptions, a search-friendly structure, on-page foundations and submission for Google indexing. Broader or ongoing work can be discussed through the SEO services page.

Will my website automatically appear at the top of Google?

No. Helios explicitly states that no responsible web designer can guarantee a particular ranking. A well-structured website provides sound foundations, but visibility also depends on competition, content, relevance and ongoing work beyond the initial build.

Can Helios help my business appear in local searches?

Yes. Helios provides SEO services and builds location relevance into suitable websites through clear service content, search-friendly structure and local landing pages where appropriate. Any local SEO work should reflect the real service area and be agreed for the project rather than relying on duplicated location text.

Are Google Analytics and Search Console included?

The PAYG service includes analytics and Search Console setup where applicable, alongside SEO foundations and ongoing management. The ecommerce service also lists analytics and conversion-tracking foundations as an available inclusion. The exact tracking setup should be confirmed for the chosen package and project.

07

Hosting, domains and email

How hosting and related services vary between packages.

Does Helios provide website hosting?

Yes. Managed hosting is included with the PAYG website service. Hosting is separate from the £1,000 Website in a Week package, while the one-off route allows businesses to retain control of their own domain and hosting arrangements. Check the selected package before comparing costs.

Can I use a domain name I already own?

Helios can work with existing domain and hosting arrangements where they are suitable. The current FAQ material recommends that businesses retain control of their own domain names and says Helios can advise on the purchase and setup process. Package-specific arrangements are confirmed before work begins.

Does Helios provide business email accounts?

The current FAQ material says Helios can help set up domain-based email accounts and guide clients through configuring them on computers and mobile devices. It does not state that every package includes email or email migration, so those requirements should be raised during the initial enquiry.

08

Support and maintenance

What happens after launch and what managed care can cover.

What happens after my website goes live?

Support depends on the package. PAYG websites include ongoing management and support. Website in a Week includes 12 months of post-launch technical support, after which the client can manage the website or arrange ongoing maintenance. One-off projects can add ongoing support separately.

What does WordPress maintenance include?

The WordPress maintenance service covers WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, security measures, backups, uptime and performance monitoring, technical support, website optimisation and content updates. The precise contract option is agreed around the website and support needed.

Can Helios support a WordPress website it did not build?

Yes. The maintenance page states that support contracts are available for WordPress websites not originally built by Helios Web Design. Helios can review the existing website and discuss the most suitable maintenance, repair or improvement route.

09

Ecommerce and additional functionality

Online selling and features beyond a standard brochure website.

Does Helios build ecommerce websites?

Yes. Helios designs WordPress ecommerce websites for small businesses, covering catalogue structure, product and category pages, responsive purchasing, payment and delivery configuration, customer accounts and order emails. Discuss the catalogue and fulfilment requirements through the ecommerce website design page.

Can booking systems or specialist integrations be added?

Specialist functionality can be discussed, but it is not automatically included in every package. The pricing and fast-track pages state that specialist integrations, memberships and complex custom functionality may require a separate quotation or a broader project route.
